How to Disconnect
Twilio is a core platform integration embedded in ScaleYourJunk — it cannot be independently disconnected. Your phone number is managed through ScaleYourJunk's Twilio account. If you cancel your ScaleYourJunk subscription, contact support at least 14 days before cancellation to initiate a number port to your new carrier. Failing to port before cancellation means the number returns to the carrier pool and you lose it permanently. The port-out process takes 5-10 business days.

Cause

Fix
Go to Settings → AI Phone Agent → Business Hours. Confirm your timezone is correct and hours span your full operating window. On Starter, after-hours calls go to voicemail — upgrade to Growth for 24/7 AI coverage.
Symptom
SMS messages are not delivering to a specific customer's phone number
Cause
The customer's wireless carrier is filtering automated messages as spam, or the number is a landline that cannot receive SMS
Fix
Ask the customer to reply YES to your number to whitelist it, or check the ScaleYourJunk message log for the carrier error code. Landline numbers are auto-flagged — switch to a voice follow-up for that lead instead.
Symptom
Phone number port from previous carrier is taking longer than 2 weeks
Cause
The losing carrier has not released the number — common with Vonage, Grasshopper, and Google Voice ports that require additional verification steps
Fix
Contact ScaleYourJunk support for a real-time port status update and LOA resubmission if needed. Your temporary ScaleYourJunk number is fully active with AI agent and SMS — update your Google Business Profile and ads to the temp number if the port exceeds 3 weeks.
