ScaleYourJunk LLC (“ScaleYourJunk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Texas limited liability company, operates the ScaleYourJunk platform, including the websites at scaleyourjunk.com and all associated subdomains, the operator dashboard, customer portal, driver app, AI phone agent, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use the Platform. This policy applies to all users of the Platform, including operators (our direct subscribers), their employees and team members, and their end customers.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Operator Account Information
- Business name, address, phone number, and email address
- Owner/administrator name and contact information
- Tax identification information (as required by Stripe for payment processing)
- Business logo, brand colors, tagline, and theme preferences
- Services offered, service areas, and pricing information
- AI phone agent configuration (agent name, personality, business hours, greeting)
- Price book items, dumpster rental pricing, and surcharge configurations
Team Member Information
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and PINs for team members added by operators
- Roles and permissions assigned within the Platform
- Availability schedules and time-off requests
- Timesheet data (clock-in/out times, hours worked)
End Customer Information (collected by operators through the Platform)
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and service addresses
- Job details, service requests, and booking preferences
- Payment information (processed through Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers)
- Photos uploaded during the booking process or by drivers during service
- Digital signatures captured during service delivery
- Customer portal profile information
- Communications (SMS messages, emails) exchanged through the Platform
Financial Information
- Invoice details, payment records, and expense logs
- Dump ticket records (weight, cost, facility)
- Stripe Connect account information for payment processing
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data
- IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, and clickstream data
- Dashboard interactions, search queries, and feature usage patterns
- Error logs and performance data
Location Data
- GPS coordinates collected from drivers when clocked in (used for live job tracking, dispatch, and route optimization)
- Approximate location derived from IP address
- Service addresses and job locations entered by operators
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Stripe: Payment confirmation, transaction status, and payout information
- Google Business Profile: Business reviews, ratings, and profile information (when connected by the operator)
- Google Calendar: Calendar events and availability (when connected by the operator)
- Google Maps: Geocoding data, routing information, and address validation
- Dumpsters.com: Inbound lead information for dumpster rental operators
1.4 Voice and Call Data
When customers call a phone number provisioned through the Platform:
- The AI Phone Agent processes voice input in real-time using speech-to-text technology
- Voice audio is processed in real-time and is not recorded or stored
- Call summaries (text-based) are generated and stored in the operator's dashboard
- Caller phone numbers are logged for appointment lookup and repeat caller identification
2. How We Use Your Information
2.1 Providing and Operating the Platform
- Creating and managing operator accounts
- Deploying and maintaining client websites
- Processing job bookings, dispatching, and scheduling
- Enabling the AI Phone Agent to answer calls and book appointments
- Facilitating communications between operators, drivers, and customers
- Processing payments and generating invoices through Stripe
- Generating reports and analytics for operators
- Running automated workflows (follow-ups, reminders, review requests)
2.2 Improving the Platform
- Analyzing usage patterns to improve features and user experience
- Identifying and fixing bugs, errors, and performance issues
- Developing new features and services
- Conducting internal research using aggregated, anonymized data
2.3 Communications
- Sending transactional emails (account confirmations, invoice notifications, booking confirmations)
- Sending SMS messages on behalf of operators to their customers (appointment reminders, crew notifications, review requests, payment reminders)
- Sending service-related notices (maintenance, security alerts, policy changes)
- Responding to support requests and inquiries
2.4 Security and Fraud Prevention
- Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Verifying account ownership and authenticating users
- Monitoring for violations of our Terms of Service
2.5 Legal Compliance
- Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
- Responding to lawful requests from government authorities
- Enforcing our Terms of Service and protecting our legal rights
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We will not share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent data will only be used for the purpose of sending the transactional and operational messages described in our SMS Terms and Conditions.

3.2 AI Processing
Voice calls to the AI Phone Agent are processed using third-party speech-to-text and text-to-speech services. Voice audio is streamed in real-time for processing and is not retained by these services after processing is complete.
3.3 Between Operators and Their End Users
Information is shared between operators and their customers and drivers as necessary for service delivery. For example, customer names and addresses are shared with assigned drivers, and driver names and truck information are shared with customers via the customer portal.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, including subpoenas, court orders, or government requests. We may also disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of ScaleYourJunk, our users, or the public.
3.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or prominent notice on the Platform of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.
3.6 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.
4. Data Retention
4.1 Active Accounts
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform services.
4.2 Cancelled Accounts
Upon cancellation, we retain your data for 30 days to allow you to export it. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems, including backups, through our automated data cleanup process.
4.3 Legal Obligations
We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law, such as financial records required for tax or accounting purposes, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
4.4 Anonymized Data
Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be used to identify any individual may be retained indefinitely for analytics and research purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Role-based access controls within the Platform
- Regular security assessments and monitoring
- Secure authentication mechanisms (passwords, PINs, session tokens)
- Automatic session expiration and device trust management
Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for promptly reporting any security concerns to us.
6. Your Privacy Rights
6.1 All Users
Regardless of your location, you have the right to:
- Access your personal information stored in the Platform
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- Export your data through the Platform's data export feature
- Delete your account and associated data by cancelling your subscription
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
6.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, our business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information.

6.3 Operators' Responsibilities Regarding End User Data
If you are an operator using the Platform, you are the data controller for your customers' personal information. You are responsible for:
- Obtaining appropriate consent from your customers for data collection and SMS/email communications
- Responding to your customers' privacy rights requests regarding their data
- Ensuring your use of the Platform complies with all applicable privacy laws
- Providing your own privacy policy to your customers that accurately describes your data practices
ScaleYourJunk acts as a data processor on behalf of operators with respect to end customer data.
7. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. 8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, analyze usage, and improve your experience. For detailed information, please see our Cookie Policy.

If you are accessing the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending an email to the address associated with your account at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
